General Season Information for Season 2020/2021

The end of last season wasn't how we planned but these are new times and we are all learning, given the uncertainty around group activities and sports, we have met to discuss new policies and rules surrounding equipment and cleaning and we have also discussed refund policies in the event the season does not pan out like we plan. We have planned for the season to run as normal, but we just need to be prepared.

The first game for the 2020/21 Teeball season has been pushed back to allow a small gap between the winter and summer seasons, given that everything was pushed back at the start of the winter season. The first game is Saturday 31st October 2020.
Due to the effects of COVID, this year the normal 3 rounds will operate a little differently with the second round being a round robin style of games over 2 weekends (5th December 2020 with 2 x 45 min games and 12th December 2020 with 3 x 45 minute games). We will have the normal break over the Christmas/holiday period and return on 30th January 2021 to complete Round 3. The final game of the season is played on the 20th of February 2020.

Only Under 11s (Division A) will qualify for the semi-finals and finals, which are scheduled on Saturday 6th March 2021 and Saturday 13th March 2021 respectively. Please take note of these dates when planning for try-outs for winter sports.  Please also note exams for entries into academic selective schools (for Year 7 entry) will likely fall within these dates - so please make sure you maintain communications with your Team Coach.

Fees
Fees for this year is $150 per child.
This is a discounted flat fee as we no longer offer early bird discounts or family discounts.  We have tried to streamline fee processing as much as possible in the event of uncertainties due to COVID restrictions.
Registration fee includes loan of the a set of teeball uniform and an official team photo.

KidSport Funding
KidSport enables eligible Western Australian children aged 5 to 18 years old to participate in community sport by offering them financial assistance of up to $150 per calendar year towards club fees.  City Beach Teeball Club is now an approved Kidsport club so please head to this website and lodge an online application.

Uniform 2020 season:
As per normal, your t-shirts and pants are loaned to you from the club. Hats are purchased from the club for $15, this option has been included as a part of the registration process.
If you still have your uniform from the 2019/20 season, please contact us to arrange return.

Season Kick Off - Uniforms and Equipment Collection
As we are in a new era of sport with COVID19, we will not be able to run our normal season kick-off sundowner. Each individual team is encouraged to organise their own distribution of uniforms to their teams. Once teams have been formed, you will receive an email from the registrar informing of your team and manager/team coordinator.

Game Days
Under 7's and under 9's arrive at the ground at 8am to warm up, ready to start play at 8:30am. The game duration is approximately 1 hour.
Under 11's and Under 13's arrive at the ground at 9:45am ready to begin play at 10:15am. The game duration is also approximately 1 hour.
Training days and times will vary for individual teams depending on the availability of the coach and players.  This will be determined as soon as teams and coaches confirm availability.

Parent Support
Please be aware that when registering your child/children, you will be asked to support the club either by coaching, managing, umpiring and setting up/packing down diamond on the game day.
As we are still managing the effects of COVID – there will be further steps to ensure adequate cleaning and santising is carried out.  Wembley Teeball Association have defined the minimum requirements – information can be accessed via the email/this website once available.  Parents will need to work together to ensure teeball games can be played in a safe environment.
The general teeball etiquette is for HOME TEAMS to set up (tents, benches, umpires’ chairs) for the game, this includes the equipment required for the AWAY team.  Hence HOME TEAMS will need to arrive early and allow plenty of time to set up.

Registration closes on Saturday 5th September 2020.

We look forward to seeing you soon
